RockNRoll --
If you want all tasks in all projects to be available to all members at all
times so that they can submit progress against those tasks, then you would
need to assign every resource to every task in every project and publish the
assignments. Doing so will make every task appear on every team member's
timesheets in PWA and every team member will be able to enter Actual Work
against each task. This would be a VERY confusing situation, however, and I
am not sure you could effectively manage any projects in which you use this
methodology. I would also presume that your team members would rebel
against your system because they would be overwhelmed with way too many
tasks on their timesheets.
On the other hand, if you want team members to merely SEE the tasks in all
projects without being able to enter time against them, your Project Server
administrator can set up permissions so that team members can view all
projects in the Project Center and detailed Project views in PWA. They
could view every project in the system for informational purposes only,
which would keep team members abreast of the latest schedule of each
project. If this is what you were asking for, then this would be a much
better approach. Hope this helps.
