All White Toolbars in Office 2003-Going Blind!!!!!!!

I just installed Office 2003 on a new computer and the toolbars on the Office
applications are all white. Also, the gridlines on the Excel view are not
the normal, sharp lines-they appear to be dotted or dashed. How do I fix
this? I have tried all the Excel/Word settings I know of and have been to
Control/Display/Appearance to try and fix. No luck

Thanks in advance from someone going blind from the bright white glare

Office 2003 and earlier use the color scheme selected in Windows.
Did you try a different Windows color scheme? And in Windows,
click on Start | Control Panel | Accessibility Options | Display
| uncheck the "Use high contrast" box | OK.
