Hi -
You are looking at entering the budget cost of the project. Budget Cost
resource feature is available Microsoft Office Project 2007 and i hope you
are using MSP 2007.
Please follow the below steps and let us know if it helps.
1. In the Resource Sheet view, create a cost resource, say "Project Budget"
and mark the resource as Budgeted resource in its Resource Information form.
2. Turn on the project summary task in View tab of Tools > Options and check
Show Project Summary task.
3. Assign the "Project Budget" resource to Project Summary task through
Gantt Chart view.
4. Change your view to Resource Usage view, and insert the field named
"Budget Cost" in resource-total.
5. Enter the budgeted cost in the assignment budget cost cell. This will
assign the budget to the project.
6. To view the running cost against allocated budget, insert the fields -
Budged Cost, Cost in the resource-time phased section.
