Allow a Disk as a Trusted Location or disable it entirely

I do a lot of programmes using Access 2007 or VB.NET that use Access 2007
Databases. I get fed up with, when opening a database, functions get disabled
due to an untrusted location. Is there any way of disabling the Trusted
Locations Setting or setting a whole disk as a Trusted Location. I have to
keep adding the various programme directories to the Trusted Locations. As my
PC is not connected to any Internet or Intranet there is little chance of
some outside interference.

In the macro settings of the trust center, do you have "enable all macros"
marked?

In trusted locations, do you have each drive letter listed and "subfolders of
this location are also trusted"?

Sorry for the long delay in replying I have been busy on something else.

I have tried all setting for macros with no effect.

I do not have the drives listed as it does not let me.

I just want to either disable any security or add a whole disk. I can
reenable securty for the database before I release it.

Surely there must be a way?

I am frustrated with this as well. I want to make my own decisions whether
to trust a database or not and having to put in all the folders of a drive as
an "acceptable" location is crazy. I put files all over the place and create
new directories all the time and don't want to have to add them each time.

If you're willing to enable code every time you open the database, there's
no reason you have to add the folder to Trusted Locations.

to keep enabling code each time. I think that Microsoft have taken security
too far. I should not have to set security on my development computer at all.
I know it is secure.

Microsoft is in a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation, since
most people blame them when hackers compromise their machines.

To be honest, I don't see what the problem is setting the Trusted Location
on your development machine. You do it once, and it's done.

You can enable your C drive and it's folders and subfolders as Trusted
Location all you want and enable macros all you want. Do what you deem fit
that is for your computer.

But don't complaint Access doesn't have any form basic security. It's not the
best in the world but at least it does encourage users to be responsible in
the organisation they work for.
