Allow right-click accept tracked changes on misspellings

Word (I'm using 2003) and have noticed that the Accept/Reject tracked changes
options disappear from the context (right-click) menu when the word is
flagged as a misspelling, for example a proper name. This slows down
reviewing of a document with tracked changes: changes can still be
accepted/rejected by clicking on the button on the reviewing toolbar, but I
like being able to move through the document with just the keyboard or
minimal mouse movements.

Does anyone else think this would be a useful addition in a future version
of Word?

There's a reason the menus are called "context" menus; as you have seen, the
commands available depend on the context. Word's (often erroneous)
assumption is that if a word is misspelled, you want to correct that before
you do anything else.

But one of Word's greatest strengths is the extent to which you can
customize it. You can customize your shortcut menus, adding any commands you
like. See the section on shortcut menus in
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/AsgnCmdOrMacroToToolbar.htm.

Thanks for the link; that works ... but as far as I can tell it involves
permanently adding the Accept/Reject commands to the spelling context menu.
They're grayed out -- and wasting space -- if the cursor is on text that's
misspelled but isn't a tracked change. Ideally these two items should appear
only where appropriate.

That would require inventing a new "context" of tracked changes that are
misspelled!

True, though it's something that happens often enough. In any case, the
simpler solution was just to turn of spell-checking while working with the
tracked changes.

Thanks for your help--I'd never played around with the shortcut menus
before, and that will be useful one day.
