allowing row to break across pages

Alright, I have a several paragraphs in a row, and I want
it to spill over to the next page. I know I need to check
the "allow row to break...." box. BUT, this isn't an
option. I can see it on the Table Properties/Row tab, but
it is in gray and not able to be checked.
Please help! I have spent hours trying to get this to work.

Erin,

sometimes options are greyed out because of a malfuntion
within word. Other times of course they are due to
operator malfunction. If you are sure that you have
selected the table before going to the table properties
box, then try reading this, and check back as to whether
it helps or not....

Hi Erin,

I've tried squishing the text so it fits on
one page but still greyed out.
It just seems to be this document.

Then the table structure has probably become damaged - you
can count yourself lucky it's manifested itself like this,
rather than breaking the entire document

- Select the entire table
- Table/Convert table to text (this should throw out the
"bad stuff")
- Table/Convert text to table (do NOT try to outsmart me
and use Undo - then it won't work!)
- now see if you can't change the option
