Alpha & Beta

I'm not sure that this is the correct message base to post this in, but I'm
having some troubles with completing a formula involving the Alpha and Beta
signs.

Could someone please tell me the numeric value for each?

The one formula I'm trying to calculate is:

100(1-Alpha) percent

In the symbol font, alpha is a lower case a
In the symbol font, beta is a lower case b

I appreciate that... but I meant an actual value rather than a physical
appearance on screen.

There is no specific value for alpha. It's a variable. It depends on what you're
trying to calculate.

If you want to display alpha and beta, then use the Character Map -
follow Windows Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools to
get at it. Scroll down until you see the characters (U+03B1 and U
+03B2).
