When opening the Open pane, the files and folders are in reverse alphabetical
order. How do I change the order in the Open window to be alphabetical?

Right-click a blank area in the window and choose Sort By > Name. Each
time you choose it, it will reverse the order.

If you happen to have Details view selected, you could also click the
head of the Name column, which does the same thing.

Assuming that you are in Details view, clicking the Name column header
should do the trick.
