alter input spec file..

I need to alter an existing Import specification...is there way to
update/alter these?

Or would need to redo the specification, and save as new - using the new one
on the Transfer command..

You can edit an existing spec by using the FIle - Import
menu item. When the dialog appears, click the Advanced
button then click the Specs button and select the spec you
want to modify.
