Okay.
Lets say you have activity A, B and C and you have a project where ABC occur
muliple times in different areas. However they cannot start at the same time.
Once A begins then B cannot start for 2 weeks and the same for C after B. The
only way that I have found to so this is to put a constraint on B and C.
There are two issues that result from this. First, whenever I put a
constraint on an item it changes the total days from like 100 days to 100.54
days or something like that. I don't want a decimal point and never use one
for any other activities preceding or following.
Second, if you put a constraint on A, it will not allow you to link B to it
as a predecessor. However, as stated B cannot start until 2 weeks after A and
the same applies to C. This takes the logic out of the schedule because if A
take longer than anticipated it will not push B or C out like it should.
I have tried splitting tasks but that does not seem to resolve the issuse.
Any help would be appreciated.
