Alternatively, download Microsoft Producer (free at the last count) and
convert the slides so they play in Internet Explorer.

If she doesn't have PowerPoint, Producer won't be of much use since it requires
that you have PowerPoint. The Viewer however will let her and her family view
the presentation.

Put the MP3s in the same folder as your presentation (on the hard drive). Then
use Insert > Movies and Sounds > Sound from File to insert them in the
presentation. They will be linked, not embedded, so you'll need to include them
on the CD along with the PowerPoint Viewer files. For additional info, see:

Sounds/Movies don't play, images disappear or links break when I move or email a
presentation

If you want the sound to play throughout the presentation, see:

Play sounds across multiple slides (A WAV runs through it)

I think you'll have to have the person who created the file use Sonia's
information for including the sound, as you'd need to have PowerPoint in
order to be able to incorporate the music.

Also, beware of copyright issues before you go including those sound files
on that CD....
