Alternative to administration project in MSP2003

I saw a posting where someone was describing the configuration of a project
plan that they recommend instead of using the administrative project. If you
have an alternative would you respond to this question. Also, I am
particulary interested in what the effort-driving and unit/work/duration
settings would be and any tips about reporting time in the resulting
timesheet.

What exactly is the problem with your admin project. Is there a particular
reason to why you need to change ?
thanks

Prior administration was using admin projects for everything as a generic
timesheet system except for some of the largest projects. I want to contimue
using admin projects but only for what they are intended and move the other
timesheet plans to a simple project. I'd like to start with simple standard
projects that behave similar to admin plans from a user prespective.

Hi DryGui,

There is no reason why you cant do that at all. I think it is a good idea to
move tasks from actual projects from the admin projects to the real projects.
Admin Projects do generally have less funcitonality then real projects have
anyway.
