Always shows duplicate tables/views

EACH TIME I open a project in MS Project, it shows "The enterprise contains a
view named Gantt Chart. When I select "rename" it says: "There is a table
named &Entry in this project which cannot be overwritten." I will always
have to rename "&Entry".

I'm almost sure that I have to delete duplicate views/tables in Organizer,
but am not really sure how to do this without deleting existing ones.

Thank you so much for your help.

Your Project Server administrator needs to open the Enterprise Global file
and then use the Organizer to delete the Gantt Chart view and Entry table
from the Enterprise Global file. The Enterprise Global file is reserved for
only enterprise objects, such as the Enterprise Gantt Chart view and
Enterprise Entry table. The Gantt Chart view and Entry table are local
objects that should be found only in each user's Global.mpt file on their
PC, and should not be placed in the Enterprise Global. Hope this helps.

Was the project created from a new, blank file, or was it created from a
template or an imported file? Rather than deleting objects in the Enterprise
Global file, there is another path that you can take. Our advice would be to
not delete enterprise objects...

I disagree...there are many more tables, views, and resources that can also
produce such messages. Providing the administrator with a green light to
delete through the Organizer may not be the best practice. Understanding how
to keep the messages from popping up to begin with, and resolving that
problem without deleting seems to be a better practice.

The problem is occuring because the Project Server admininstrator has
accidentally (or purposely) polluted the Enterprise Global with
non-enterprise objects, such as the Gantt Chart view and Entry table. The
Enterprise Global serves as an organization's "library" of enterprise
objects, and should contain ONLY enterprise objects such as the Enterprise
Gantt Chart view and Enterprise Entry table. Once the Enterprise Global has
become polluted with non-enterprise objects, the only solution is to open
the Enterprise Global and to use the Organizer to delete those offending
non-enterprise objects. How else would you solve the problem?

This issue has nothing to do with how a project is created. Teaching people
not to pollute the Enterprise Global assumes that they're going to seek out
and attend training before trying to use Project Server. Without training,
it's almost inevitable that this this will happpen. Even with training, it's
likely this will happen at some point; the difference being that the trained
person will recognize the situation and know how to correct it.
