an alternative for the Choice function

I have a list where I, if I for instance fill in the
content of E3 automatically will fill in the content of F3
in the following cell in the list. If you for instance had
chosen E7, the content of F7 would follow in the next cell
in the list.

Since I will be filling in text and not numbers in the
reference cell E, I guess CHOICE will not be an option.

Any other suggestions?
