An error (318) occurred during the action Copy.

Hi

I am running Visio 2002 SP2 (10.0.5110) and have been creating a set of
drawings in a Visio document. Recently I started getting errors as a popup
when I attempt to copy or duplicate any component from any tab. An example
of the error is:
An error (318) occurred during the action Copy.
Reference cell User.Note, Constraint.22 does not exist.
I recently applied SP2 and this may have been the cause of the problem.

I am using the current UML stencils by Pavel Hruby that I downloaded and
installed. Visio Stencil and
Template for UML 2.0
. I have been using the stencils for years but
only recently had this Visio problem. Most of my drawings use, and have been
using, Pavel's stencils. I really like the stencils that he developed.

I can copy whole drawings (by not selecting any component). But I get the
error if I select one or more components and try to copy or duplicate the
components. Pasting from the clipboard (eg. text copied from another
program) works no problem.

I feel it is a introduced problem with SP2. Is there a work around? Can I
fix my corrupted drawing?

With more experimenting, I realise that the problem is only with one
component type. The problem occurs with the UML 'straight relationship from
Pavel Hruby UML stencils. I reiterate that I have been using Pavel's
stencils for years and this is a recent problem.

I have several UML drawings on different tabs in the one Visio drawing
document using this component type 'straight relationship. On drawings with
this component type, I can copy whole drawing (by not selecting any component
and selecting the copy command). Other component types (eg. activities,
notes, classes) I put on the same drawing I can copy, duplicate, paste and
delete without error. The error is reproducible across the drawings in the
Visio drawing document and after I save the document, restart Visio and
attempt to copy and duplicate the component type again.

I have also seen this problem in more than one Visio drawing document. The
Visio drawing document corrupts silently and you only know of the corruption
once you get the error.

Any ideas?
