"An error occurred while trying to launch Remove Hidden Data" fix?

Recently, I got the "An error occurred while trying to launch Remove
Hidden Data." I seem to have stumbled upon a fix: View -> Toolbars ->
Customize -> Right-click on "File" -> Reset. The RHD tool seems to rely
on the (very very fragile) order of the File menu items.

I tried this to no avail. We're on Office 2002 (XP) Pro. I also uninstalled
and reinstalled it. I also made sure the dot and dll were in the same
directory. All things that have supposedly worked on other computers.

This started happening a few months ago, after working for month if not
years. It might have been after an Office update, but don't know for sure.
I'm in desktop support and only a few customers have actually called it in.
Weird. I'm pretty frustrated.
