an icon of a lock appears in some of my schedules in outlook

I just changed to office 2007 and an icon of a "lock" appears in some of my
schedules in outlook. how do i remove them?

You marked them Private?

Either Open the appointment and click the Private button (lock icon - it
should be highlighted) or right click and choose Private.
