an internal support function returned an error

When attempting to send an email to a distribution list I receive the
following error message after clicking send:

"An internal support function returned an error."

However, there is no help to remedy the problem. Any tips?

Yes. I'm using Outlook to send the email and the title bar at the top of the
error message window says Microsoft Word.

Not really a Word problem. But if you are using Outlook 97, 98,
