Analysis Services Setup

I have been trying to get analysis services setup for Project 2007 without
much luck.

I have followed (well I believe I have) the installation guide and installed
the necessary additional components. I created a blank msmdrep.mdb file
(which seemed a strange requirement) as I wasn't migrating from a 2000
server. This file was copied into a DSO folder and the recommended changes
to the ini have been made.


When I start the build everything is fine until Analysis Services Session
start step. At this point I get a connection error:

"Analysis Services session failed with the following error: Failed to
connect to the Analysis Services server Penfolds. Error: Cannot open
connection to Analysis server 'Penfolds'.
Cannot connect to the server 'Penfolds'. The server is either not started or
too busy."

The penfolds server has 2 instances and both have Analysis Services
installed. I can connect to the default instance using enterprise manager
from my PC and can create a new database.

Can someone please point me in the right direction. This seems to be more
difficult than it should be - so what am I missing.
