Angle brackets in corners of Word document

Greetings all,

Everytime I open a new document now, I have these right
angle brackets in all four corners of the document. I
recall having this problem once before and I think it had
something to do with the launguage setting or some sort
of "plug-in" for Asian launguage, but I can't remember how
I got rid of it! Does anyone remember how to get rid of
these angle brackets?

Thanks in advance,

Bruce

In Windows, click on Start | All Programs | Microsoft Office Tools |
Microsoft Office Language Settings. In the "Enabled languages" pane,
select and remove any East Asian languages.
