Animate spinning globe

I would like to create a ppt (2003) animation of traveling from one side of
globe to the other side of globe with the globe spinning half turn (hopefully
with an airplane on it). Can someone tell me how to do it?

You would be better to build an animated gif or video and place it on the
slide.

Probably much more simple and effective if you have a gif animator program
instead.
