I need the slide to present an animated gif for several seconds (so you can
see the animation) then have a text box overlay and cover the anmation. Here
is what I tried:

1. Display the animated GIF choosing"Hide Animation" to make it go away
after its done playing. Then wipe in the text box after a few seconds.

Result: the gif pops in, then disappears then the text shows.

2. Display animated gif (Don't Dim), then wipe in the text box using a
solid fill on the text box to cover up the animated gif after a few seconds.

Result: the animated gif pops in and is immediately behind the text box so
you see nothing but the text box when it finally displays.

Help! How can I force it to play the animated GIF for a few seconds, then
disappear before displaying the text box.

Thanks

Thanks for such a quick response. That makes sense, except I am on Office
2000 and don't have those options in my Custom Animiation...any ideas?

Sorry to be a bother.
