Animating a chart. Where is "Chart Effects tab"??

Hi,
I need to animate a chart. All online tutorials say to look for a
"Chart Effects tab" that has the settings to do this. How ever i have
powerpoint 2003, and it does not seem to have such a tab anywhere in
it.
What is the problem?

Hi there

You need to add an animation to the chart first, then the chart effects tab
appears in the 'Effect options' dialogue box which you can get to by clicking
on the down arrow next to the animation effect in the custom animation pane.

Does that help/make sense?

makes perfect sense.
Thank you.

Also, another thing tht i found out was that if u ungroup the chart,
then the seperate parts can have diffrent animations. Needs a bit of an
effort, but can do intersting things with it
