Animation of portion of diagram?

Hello. I'm working in PowerPoint 2003.

I have a simple diagram that I need to animate to separate out. It's very
basic flowchart - three circles connected with three double-sided arrow
connectors. What I need to do is have the top and bottom left with connector
separate away from the rest. Wish I could draw it here, because it's so very
simple what I need and I just can't seem to do it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You can try adding an animation effect to the entire diagram -- use
something simple like a wipe or fade. Then double-click the effect in the
task pane and choose the last tab -- should be something like Diagram
Animations. There may be options there to animate by level or branch.

If that's not granular enough, you'll have to ungroup the org chart. Drag
the original off the edge of the slide so you have it if you need it later.
Select it, copy it, then Edit/Paste Special and choose EMF. Then
Draw/Ungroup the EMF -- do this twice. You should then be able to group and
animate the appropriate parts of the diagram.
