After Pack & Go, and clicking on the .pps to view the show the animation scheme that is set to run when first slide comes up after 'loading' does not work. Tried "With Previous" and "After Previous". Suggestions, please.

Using Win 98 SE, PP 2002

Do you have the old PPT Viewer installed? It could be that the PPS from
the pack and go is opening with the old Viewer, which doesn't support
the new animations/transitions available in PPT 2002.

Try this Viewer instead and see if it helps.

I downloaded the new Viewer (v. 11.0.5530). It says it is a "PPT Viewer". When I try to Unpack my .pps
slide show it won't recognize the PPT Viewer. Am I doing something wrong? Also, just what is the
difference in a .pps and a ppt?

When you pack a presentation in PPT 2002, if you specify a Viewer be
included, you're getting the old Viewer. The new Viewer was released
after PPT 2002, and so the pack and go won't recognize it.

So. When you pack the presentation, you'd have to specify that it not
include a Viewer. Then you'd want to unpack the presentation, open the
new Viewer from your Start/Programs menu, and then open the unpacked
presentation file.

Does that make sense?

Nothing, really. When double-clicked in a window, PPS opens in Show
mode, PPT opens in Edit mode.
