Annoying Warning about clicking external links .. turn offable ?

I create hyperlinks to files on my Hard Drive.
Constant warnings about clicking hyperlinks being "dangerous" is not
useful.

Can I turn them off ?

Please Please Please say YES.

If you're running XP SP2, try going into the Firewall settings in Control
Panel and add whatever program you're using to access the links to the
Exceptions page.
