Annual Report Layout

B

Boudreaux

Howdy,

I've been tasked to layout my NGOs Annual Report. I only need to create
something that can be given to a paid designer for finalization and
publication.

However, I'll have to sell my concept to my peers (in this office and in
others) so I need something like a sharp story board. What I think I need is
layout program like Quark, but we don't have a license.

I was surprised when I couldn't find any Annual Report templates or
discussions in the Publisher forum. I am VERY new to publisher, so perhaps
the reason will be obvious to this community.

Any advice?

Thanks!

Go online and view a number of Annual Reports from similar organizations to
your own. Reports share some formatting (content and detail) in common, but
rarely look the same. MS-Publisher should get you far enough to do concept,
and commercial print. However, if you are not familiar with the application,
progress may be less than you would hope.

Since most reports are verbose text, you may want to begin with some early
layout and composition in MS-Word. Publisher will take this in when you are
more ready for layout and design, and it's much easier than text in MS-Pub.

Get a good tutorial book for familiarity and learning,
