Another Question about Flash in Powerpoint

Hello all,

I'm presently trying to make a presentation using Powerpoint X and
Flash. The goal is to animate certain machine sequences. But alas,
inserting an -.swf file is not so easy. What's the best way to
proceed?

Here's what I've done so far:

1.) I have created animations and saved them in Flash 4 format. By
using the Insert/Movies and Sounds/Movie from File command, this does
create a playing animation.

2.) But, doing that I am unable to run an interactive flash file,
because Quicktime does not yet support Flash 5, and that's the format
I need to save the file as to have interactivity.

3.) Neither is it possible to layer sequences of the flash animations
and then insert them successively as animatied steps, because of a
residual flash back, a rewind to the beginning of the file, before the
next sequnece is inserted in the animation order. (This happened
regardless whether the animation was inserted as either an swf or an
mov file.)

So, I have 3 choices I guess: 1.) find another plug-in that runs Flash
5 2.) Find a way to eliminate the flash back or 3.) forget the whole
thing??!!

Would be grateful for any answers.

Cheers, JP

Well, it took long enough but it works fine. Interactive animations
will work in Powerpoint X! If anyboday needs my short tutorial on
this topic, I can mail it to you...
