ok i tried that, it still goes back to 2/1. this is not a fraction, it's just
a date in an expense report worksheet. however, the single apostrophe after
the date kept it in place, but i dont want to rely on that alone. there's got
to be a way to fix this for future use. thanks.
If you want the date 2/29/2006, just enter that in the field. Since there
is no 2/29 in the current year, Excel must assume that you are entering the
month and the year. I entered just 2/28 and Excel assumed it was 2/28/2006.
