Any good training Books?

J

Jasper Recto

I looking for a good book to help me learn Microsoft Access. I'm not a
complete novice but I would like it to cover all the basics and be able to
go more into depth about programming.

Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jasper

The Access developers hand book is a must have.
I suggest hitting a bookstore and seeing what books suit your style of
learning.

Sybex publishes "Access Developer's Handbook" which is my absolute favorite.

So far, everything I have gotten from Microsoft Press has been excellent.

There have been several written works titled something similar to "Access
Bible" that I have not read, but I have heard other people liked a lot.

As a former Microsoft Certified Trainer, there was a Microsoft Official
Curriculum intensive hands-on 40-hour (or more) training course called
"Mastering Access 97" which was very comprehensive and deeply covered Access
97 but it's going to be hard to find these days, and is probably a little
too out of date.

The Sybex books may not be right for you. They are written for
Advanced Access developers. They are excellent books though. I would
suggest the following;

ISBN 0672325500 Balters
ISBN 0596000847 Access Cookbook

Only you can decided what is best for you. Suggest going either Online
or to a nearby Barnes&Noble to review the Access book(s) that is right
for you. You will discover no one book can possibly include all which
is why most developers have a few different favorites on their
bookshelf for Access. The NG is also an excellent source to learn.
