Any idea why a PAGEREF "Bookmark" in a header would give proper r.

In a letter template, my header checks the PAGEREF of a bookmark located at
the end of the document. Everything works great on screen, however when it
is printed, the header sometimes "believes" that the PAGEREF of the bookmark
is always equal to the page on which a header is located instead of the being
equal to the last page of the document regardless of the page on which the
header is located. Also, if I copy the code out of the header and put it in
the main body of the document...everything works great! Any help/comments
would be greatly appreciated.
