Any know Issues with PWA over the Internet

We're considering having access to PWA from the internet rather than via a
VPN connection. What are the forseeable issues, if any, with this type of
configuration?

Hi Dave,

I have no real answers to your questions but I'm trying to do this right now
in my company. First time we put it out on the internet we lost the ability
to use our windows accounts since it was no longer in the domain. We've just
opened it up again but this time it's sitting internally on the domain and
we have configuraed the firewall to provide access. We can access PWA
through the internet but we cannot access it direct from Project
Professional. PWA asks for domain login details when accessing it. I think
this is preventing Project Professional getting access. When I "test
connection" I get "Unexpected Server Response" and viewing the error shows a
page conatining "HTTP 401.2 - Unauthorized: Logon failed due to server
configuration Internet Information Services".

If anyone can help with this I'd appreciate it.

Most of the posts I have read recommend either a Terminal
Services or CITRIX solution. The main issue is that PWA
needs to think you are logged on to the local network so
it will pass the user credentials to the server. The
other issue is that passwords are passed in plain text
via the internet.
