Any problems using too many Layers?

I am new to using FP, and am having a real fun time making what I want match
what I see on the page. I found it easier to use Layers, putting Text and
pics into their own layer, and moving the layer to where I want it. Is there
any problem with doing this?
So far I haven't seen any problems, and the pages seem to load fast
enough. I was just wondering if this will cause problems down the road
linking to other pages, or bookmarking a section of a page.

The end result seems fine, but I feel like I'm cheating, getting the job
done the easy way. I just don't want to have to re-do a whole website later
on, because I did something wrong now.

Thanks for any info. Jim Smith

There will not be any problems linking to other pages or with bookmarks, but
test your pages with different browsers, different browser sizes, and change
the font size in the browsers to see the effect.

I would reiterate what Ronx advises. If this is a hobby site, then it
really doesn't matter, but if it's a commercial site, you need to be VERY
careful when using 'layers' as a layout tool.

To see what I mean, preview your site in IE and change the browser's font
size (VIEW | Text Size > Largest, for example). When using layers, this can
be very bad news.

Thanks, Ronx and Murray, I know all too well about the difference in web
browsers. I spent a whole day working on a site for a friend, and it looked
perfect on my screen. I called the friend up, to let him know I was done
working on his site for him. He said "well...it looks nice and all, but why
are all the pictures smoooshed together?" What a mess. I turned down my
screen resolution, and used two web browsers to preview, and all went well
after that. I was just worried about getting the fast answer wouldn't be the
right answer later on down the road.
Thanks again for the quick responses. I can un-cross my fingers now.
