Any way to AutoComplete numbers?

I know Excel documentation says only text can be AutoCompleted, but is
there a workaround to AutoComplete numerical entries?

No and for obvious reasons.

What are those "obvious reasons"? Guess they're not obvious to me. For
instance, if I have a pop-up list with several sets of unique numbers, why
shouldn't there be a way to AutoComplete those entries? Maybe you could
let me know what those obvious reasons are because obviously they aren't
obvious to me, or I wouldn't have asked the question. Obviously!

Autocomplete is one of those things that some people dislike intensely. I'd
guess the Excel designers were aware of that and limited its scope. When
entering text, the odds may increase slightly that you're making a duplicate
entry as you're typing more of a string that has been entered before. That's
seldom if ever the case when typing numerals. So a case could be made for
enabling autocomplete in the first case (obvious text) but not the second
case (probably numeric).

It's obvious to me why Excel doesn't work this way, but I'll allow that it
may not be obvious to you. It doesn't have to be obvious. You just have to
resign yourself to the fact that Excel won't do what you want it to in this
regard.

And don't fool yourself that there aren't a lot of questions asked with
obvious answers. A brief perusal of online help would eliminate 1/4 to 1/3
the questions asked in this newsgroup. Once again, 'obvious' may be
different things to different people: it's obvious to me to check online
help first, then Google, then finally ask in a newsgroup. Obviously that
isn't obvious to most OPs.
