Any way to overcome 255 caharacter limit in merge fields?

Hi all,

It is written that Publisg-her can merge only upto 255 characters per field.

Is there a workaround for this limitation?

I have memo fields that run up to 800-900 characters.

You might need to restructure the information in your data source so that the
information in your individual data fields does not exceed this character limit.

Now.. I may split the fields to 2 or 3, but some items need 150
characters for description, wheras some need 600+. How do I arrange
these merge fields on the publication.

Do I put them one below another, and how would I make the information
presented so that they will all look good?

Have you converted your merge to a new publication as outlined in step 5? You can
manually adjust the text boxes in this mode.
