So far I have not been too impressed with the new UI and the operation of
some of the programs in this new office.

Outlook is okay, but Word and Excel have too many pre-installed bells and
whistles for my taste. The "NEW" toolbars do take up too much "real estate"
and are not really "user friendly". I can't get Access to open any of my
previous Access apps properly. Seems the VBA engine isn't workinf properly.
Glad I am trying this on a system that is not important in my job.

**LOVE** it!!! VERY crips and clear, very user friendly, shallow learning
curve and just more visually appealing. I am a **LONG** term user of various
version of Office and have found things so much easier with this version!

Applause and kudos to Microsoft for this release!!

The only thing I can't fix is the lack of sharpness to text within office.
It's a bit of a strain on the eyes looking at it.

Yeah I agree completely, my eyes felt tired after a whole day of
looking at fuzzy text and lines.

Loathe it. It's just trying far to hard to be cute and to show me what it
thinks I want to do (and makes it nearly impossible to do anything else). I
mean come on: the quick menu has save but not open?

I'm gonna check out OpenOffice 2.0
