Anyone know how to make a group out of enterprise resources?

Looking for a way to make a group out of enterprise resources so that you
can assign just the group to a task verses every single individual. We are
integrated with Microsoft Solomon so we have to have named users for
resources verses generic resources.

Anybody know?

Thanks

You cannot assign a group to a task and have Microsoft Project substitute
the individual resources in that group. An alternate approach is to do the
following:

1. Open the Enterprise Resource Pool and check out all resources
2. In the Group column, enter the group for each resource
3. Save and close the Enterprise Resource Pool

Once you have done this, project managers can select members of a group to
be part of the project team by buidling a filter on the Group field in the
Build Team from Enterprise dialog. When project managers assign resources
using the Assign Resources dialog, they can select the Group... filter and
enter the name of the group members they may wish to use. Once done, they
can select these group members simultaneously and assign them to the
selected task. Though this is not what you wanted to hear, I trust this
will help.
