I'm making a database where I would like some design ideas. I'm making
a item component database where I have an item # i.e. 123456 and it
breaks down into component pieces i.e.

flour 40%
sugar 25%
baking soda %17
chocolate 10%
salt 5%
vanilla 3%

Is there a template or a database that will have something where I can
input components of an item and tie it to a supplier?

The chances are slim that you're going to find a template that allows for the
entering of recipe components ***and*** tie it to a supplier. I suspect the
closest you'll get is a template for recipes and then have to modify it to
include the tie-in to the supplier.

Here's a link to a recipe template from Microsoft itself:

Good Luck!

I have access 2003, the web browser said I don't have 2000 to be able
to download it, any suggestions?

Sorry, meant to add you'd need to add a table for your suppliers information
and probably tie them together using something like a SupplierID. That part
should be pretty straight forward.

Yeah, when the warning comes up that you don't have Version XXX you have top
scroll down and manually download the templates. It's a pain! But almost any
Access template will run in a newer version than it was developed in.

Good Luck!
