Anyone know the name of the font used in Windows XP applications?

I am trying to identify the font that is used in Windows XP applications for
its own menus. Eg - the font used in Word, Excel, Outlook, etc for their menu
bars (File, Edit, View etc). This same font appears in my IE menu bar, and
all dialogs. Any help you can provide is most appreciated.

Hi Bob I,

I have just tried Tahoma, and it's very close but it doesn't look exactly
the same. The reason I ask is that I'm documenting my company's software in a
Help Authoring Tool and I'd like to use the same font that appears in our
Menus and dialogs (which is the same as in Word, Excel etc). Any thoughts?

Tahoma is the default font unless you changed it. To find out
what your font is, right-click on an empty area of the Windows
desktop, and left-click on Properties | Appearance tab | Advanced
| Item: Menu.

Sorry, but Tahoma IS the default. If it isn't what you have, then you
don't have the default, and you will need to decide if you are going to
change it back before you make the documentation.
