Anyone using Access to serve as an electronic filing cabinet?

I currently use Paperport but it is SLOW to open, SLOW to respond. I thought
that possibly someone had developed a template that would use Access as the
underlying program.

Your definition of an "electronic filing cabinet" and ours may not be the
same. Can you provide a bit more explanation?

Have you already searched at Google.com, at microsoft.com, or at the
mvps.org website for examples of what you're trying to do?

I view almost every Access application as a kind of "electronic filing
cabinet" -- that is, using the database to store and retrieve data
electronically, but your definition may be more specific. If you'll clarify,
perhaps someone can help without having to guess at what you want.
