App has encountered an erro

Need Assistance

Just got a new laptop (Fujitsu T4210 + upgraded 2 gb OCZ ram). This came
without Office, and I installed my retail version of Office on it. I
attempted to run Word, and the second it shows up, the application closes
with a popup saying "Word has encountered an error". It also asks me if I
wish to restart Word, and if I do, it crashes again. I attempt opening other
Office application, and the same result. At one point, Access and Publisher
worked, but after opening it once, they both began crashing on opening again.
I'm not attempting to opening a file, just the application. This is the same
version of Office I have installed on my desktop pc and it works fine.

First start with troubleshooting Word. More then likely it will help
pinpoint the underlying issue. Here's an article that contains the
