Append Records to ORACLE via ODBC

Hello,

I am trying to append some records from an Access table into Oracle using an
ODBC connection to Oracle. The append action is moving very slowly and I am
trying to figure out why. I'm doing several different queries and they all
all seem to perform about the same. The tables have small number of fields
(around 10 or less in the ones I am using) and are keyed appropriately. The
tables in Oracle do not have any trigger events. Tracing is not turned on in
my ODBC connection. Does anyone know what could possibly cause this action
to be slow? It is appending around 2,500 records a minute, but this is
problematic when I have recordsets of around 1,000,000 to append. This is a
straight append (from table in access to table in oracle). Any ideas or
thoughts?
