Appending

I have a book in publisher 2000.
It is set up on mirrored pages, landscape.
I.e., the left and right side of the publisher page contains an identical
printed page.
Each page, then, flows to the next page or set of mirrored text.
Below each page is a small text box in which I manually placed a page
number.
The book is broken up into separate chapters/publisher documents.
The printer now wants me to put all the chapters in one document.
I tried copy and paste, but I lose the text box size and the page numbers.
Is there a way to take pub 2 (chap2) and append it to pub 1?

Not in Publisher
But you can convert to PDF and combine the PDFs in Acrobat

The printer already did this, but of course the process of compression, as I
understand it, caused problems in the books printing. The book also has some
photographs in it.

Most printers deal with PDFs in the end anyway, so I can't understand why
this would be a problem.
Try another printer.
