Application recovery CD requests WORD2002 CD.

Sony Notebooks was supplied with OS, Application and
Drivery recovery CDs. When Word2002 failed to run after
installation of XP service packs 1 & 2, I tried to
reinstall the Word2002; the application recovery CD would
work OK till choosing the application to be recovered, but
would eject the CD asking for WORD 2002 CD to be inserted.
When Synaptic Enhancement program maimed the computer
totally I recovered the original OS with the CD and still
the problem with Word2002 persists. Should there have been
a WORD 2002 CD supplied sepearately? What is the solution?

Can Office 2000 and Word 2002 coexist -

Word 2002 could well have been on a separate CD. If you don't have any other
Office programs (Outlook, Excel, etc.), most likely you got Word as part of
Works Suite. Do you have a CD for that?
