Application.ResourceSharing gives an error message

hi guys,

I would like to set my project (2000) to work with a resource pool.
The statement Application.ResourceSharing fails with error "the argument value is not valid", no matter which arguments (file name, etc) I give.
1. Can anyone guess why would such a thing happen ?

2. Is there another way for sharing resources programmatically ?

3. When can I use ResourceSharingPoolAction ?
