I have a 42 slide presentation, when I apply a new design templet to it, I
only get back ground color to change, no bar colors or frame designs will
appear. such as Notebook, pages turn brown but no spiral to the left. I do
have some Visual Basics graphics in the presentation, could that be effection
it? It's usually such a simple thing to do, I am at a loss.

Do you have "Omit background graphics from master" checked? To check, in Normal
view go to Format > Background.

Sorry about that, I was in slide master view, yes it is checked in the normal
view, however if I uncheck it, there is no change other than if I scroll
through the slides I get a brief glips of the true templet before it reverts
back now........Hugh?

Did you click on Apply to All when you made the change? It's a slide level
setting and if you've got it set on all your slides you'll need to change all of
them.

I would try reapplying the template. If that doesn't work I would save the
file, close PowerPoint , reboot and then re-open PowerPoint and the file.
