Apply multiple motion paths to an object

I am building an animated slide to show the operation of a product we
manufacture. I have applied a motion path to an object to move it. Then
other sequences take place, and I need to move the first object again. Does
anyone know how to do this, or can't it be done in PowerPoint?

Just copy the object (the motion path will be copied as well) and place it
above the first object. Then you need an exit effect on the first object and
an entrance effect on the second object. Good luck!
