appointment times changed when synched with palm

I have a hand held that has problems when synching to the
outlook calendar on the desktop. It changes the time an
hour forward on the palm unit.

They are both set to the same time zone, and both clocks
are within 1 minute of each other. It was fine until
today, and nothing has changed except for putting in the
area code in the dialer properties.

Please help!!
