I need to format and reinstall OSX 10.4 workstation. I have Office 2008 for MAC - Home / Student Edition installed with three license. I want to uninstall Office 2008 and reclaim the license so I can reinstall the same license after I have formated the drive. Does anyone know the correct process to remove the software and reclaim the license.

Office for Mac does not use activation. Simply remove and reinstall.

You don't need to. Mac Office does not use online activation.
