Approval Preview Custom Field

I created a custom field that uses graphical indicators and included
it in several project views. It works fine in Project Center but when
I go into My Approvals and preview the pending tasks, most of the
fields are blank, and a few have the actual numeric value. Any ideas
as to why they would not show up in the Approval Preview?

I suspect the custom fields you created are project fields, and these won't
necessarily show in assignment based views, such as the approval view.

The fields are task fields.

Is the approval preview view not a task level? I would think it would
have to be if it is showing you the impacts on the schedule. I am
using the Task Summary view in the Approval Preview to view the tasks.

and I thought the Approval Preview view was a task level view as well
since you can select any of the views available in project center.
